I spent a fabulous ‘chilled out’ afternoon doing a Plattie Platypus toy-making workshop this last weekend at the Urban Sewing Lounge.
Tucked away on a leafy East Brisbane Street, Linda’s enclosed, sunny balcony has been turned into a sewer’s paradise with more sewing machines, haberdashery and lovely quilted fabric goodies than I could dream of!
What a wonderful place to spend a crafty afternoon!!!
Thanks Linda!
And now… look what we got up too!
I kinda wish I DIDN’T KNOW how to sew…
… then I’d have an excuse
to spend a WHOLE LOT more time
It’s just a beautiful, cosy, comfortable space! : )
Linda teaches basic sewing skills as well as offering a variety of classes in patchwork, fabric gifts, handbags, home decor and more. Her classes are small (maximum of 5 per class) so you all will get lots of Linda’s undivided attention!
Mums will be pleased to hear that she also offers After School Sewing and School Holiday Classes!
I must say a big thanks to the lovely ladies who came along as part of the Saviours of the Lost Arts porgram, and to Kylie and Cloud from VoodooRabbit.com, who were also organizing the workshop too AND managing our stall at the Racecourse Road Carnival on the same day!
Never a dull moment hey!

Till next time,
Happy Sewing,
Pauline
