I found a Funky Friends Factory fan!!!! Well…
she found me at the Brisbane Stitches & Craft Show.
I was very nervous about exhibiting at such a big show, and with so little time to get ready, it was a matter of diving in and giving it a go. I had a lot of help from my husband who built the pattern stand for me while I packed the patterns and toys.
My friend Karen did an amazing job keeping me focussed (when the coffee had worn off!) and her husband David was kind enough to come in to help us pack up after the show when we were absolutely exhausted from our 5 days on our feet!
was really proud to be included in the incubator section (for ’emerging independent crafters’) and to meet such a talented bunch of fellow crafters.
Some of my talented neighbours were , Trish and Alan (Trishalan designs) , Kristie (Rourke and Henry), Megan (Blossomchild) and Narelle (Rellesh), the girls from Thread Den, the girls from Ink and Spindle, Ellie (Red Seed Studio), Sandra (Winterwood) and last but not least, Kristen (Kristen Doran design).
… and what a buzz it was to be ‘RECOGNISED’ !!!!
THANKS to all those local Funky Friends Factory members who stopped by to say hello and to see the toys in ‘real life’. It was wonderful to put faces to names and actually chat to some of the Funky Friends Factory Members in person.
I am catching my breath before I decide on whether or not to drive down for the Sydney Stitches and Craft Show in August….
we’ll see…..
