It’s been a long-time dream of mine to go to Quilt Market in Houston… and what an amazing roller-coaster ride of a trip it was!
First it was the mad rush to get last minute toy samples ready…
Then it was ‘panic-stations’ trying to fit EVERYTHING in my suitcases! Needless to say I couldn’t take everything I wanted to –
let alone EVERYONE!
The next challenge was to fill my booth with only TWO suitcases of toys!!!!
And then the wild whirlwind of Quilt Market began!
I had such fun hooking up with old friends and making new ones! 🙂
Would you believe – it turns out that Randy Rhino ToyPattern was the star Funky Friend at the show!!!!
I think it was because of the gorgeous organic fabric that I made him from. The fabric is called “Eyes of the world” and it’s from Harmony Art Fabrics.
I have ‘chatted’ to Harmony many times online so it was fabulous to finally meet her in person! She was sooooooooo excited because she didn’t know that I had made him for her to take home! 😀

I LOVE Harmony Art fabric and I can see why that little rhino was such a big hit! I think I like the elephant best and I think Blue Colorway would be the perfect elephant fabric!
